Work-Life Services

Keeping the balance between work and home life has become increasingly challenging. DOR offers comprehensive, nationwide work-life resources. Employees can receive services in person, by phone or via the Web. Plus, the referrals and information provided will be customized to meet their needs.

Child care Resources and Referrals

• Child care centers
• Nurseries and/or preschools
• Sick-child care
• Summer camps
• In-home care
• Family daycare homes
• Emergency and back-up care
• Before- and after-school programs
• Adoption resources

Within two days of speaking with a child care specialist, the parent is sent a personalized information packet, which includes a detailed profile of each provider we refer, a book about quality care, and brochures related to specific child care issues.

Eldercare Resources and Referrals

Eldercare specialists can help employees with eldercare needs and provide referrals for:

• Prevention services
• In-home services
• Long-term planning
• Self-help for the caregiver
