Supervisor’s Resources Supervisors often have to work with employees who have problems that interfere with their ability to do their jobs. These problems are best addressed as early as possible. Some typical problems might be gambling, drugs or alcohol, depression, conflict-resolution issues, domestic violence, childcare and eldercare problems, tardiness, job performance, interpersonal relationships, and many others. Our supervisor’s newsletter has a quarterly topic addressing these issues. We also have an archive of newsletters and working papers that you may browse as well. We encourage supervisors to consult with our counseling staff as problems arise. If you need to make a formal referral, we can also discuss this with you so that your specific questions are addressed with the employee. We suggest you complete the Supervisor’s Evaluation Form. Please fax the form to us when complete. Another great resource is our booklet, Effectively Dealing with Job Performance Problems. This is a wonderful way for you to develop a strategy for addressing individual or group problems. Please contact us by sending an e-mail to our professional staff. You may consult with one of our counselors or schedule an appointment to review your concerns with a management consultant. Supervisor’s Newsletter Archive
